'Much Ado About Nothing' - The play

Posted by Chan chue lydia kha

So what made me wanna blog about this play?
"
"
"
" B. Ed TESL Cohort 2 is staging 'Much Ado About Nothing'... :)

It all started out to be one of the assignments for our literature course. So save for around one months time, we selected our committee.

Presenting our director, Royston Sihas (aka Don John the Bastart) and our assistant director Felicia Tersan (aka Beatrice). (sorry ppl, can't find the class photo picture la...)

and so we started our very taxing drama practices... Everyday for 2 hours the least...

That's Fel (Beatrice) making Alex (Claudio) memorize his scrip while Hakim (Balthasar) happily look on :) and our Don Pedro (Apiz) yawning to the camera...

That Hakim again smiling at the camera while i (Verges) was looking at my laptop i guess.. :) thinking about what to write for my assignment.. The mask is part of the props needed for the play.

It is always hard work and hard play... can't think of a minute when my class is serious.. there will always be ppl cracking up jokes anytime, anywhere... that is why my class is constantly happy.

And then on performance day..... Oedipus Rex got to performed first. But unfortunately we only get to see the very first part of the play as Sabri group us up for last minute pep talk. And this is the final product...
Jaime (Dogberry) and I (Verges) being the statue or part of the props... letihnya....

Dogberry and Verges inspecting the line.... *sorry guys, i broke the baton*

Following my constable... She supper ganas one.. hahha.. Dogberry.. Dogberry... :)

See how ganas Dogberry is... poor Borachio (Bibi) kena beaten so hard....

And finally the finale... hehe.. that's Dr. Noraini and Ms Arizol (*not sure if i spell it right) we were all happy and greatful that the play turn out awesome..

and more pics... (sadly most of the pics are not clear) best performance and best actor award...

this is the only pic where my mustache is clearly seen... :)

So all in all, it was a wonderful experience to be working together again as a class. For all this while in IPBL we have always worked, played and sleep together.. but now that we are in UKM, all those moments can only be cherish.. (truly as the Grammy speech Catherine made.... we all felt it deep within our hearts...)

Dedicating this post to all my classmates in B. Ed TESL 2.. you are the best. nang hebat kau semua.. talented and gifted. Remember, even if we are far apart, each and everyone of us is still in our dreams and our prayers ya. Thank you everyone for making this play a success and an added memory to all those sweet moments we share...
