*sing along* Bangun pagi, gosok gigi, cuci muka, pakai baju……

Yay! It felt like going back to school all over again. It was even more prominent when we all dress up in school uniforms (and some even in their primary school uniform with dark blue kain tapih [ baju kurung skirt] =) eating our childhood keropok Mimi. We were all pack to go for Kursus Biro Tatanegara in Camp Pueh, Sematan! Tagging our luggage along (although Fel’s one can fit another human being inside) we board IPBL new bus and were soon on our journey. *sorry Pak Wan, kamek ni memang bising ;)* (dah la ada Jaime, yg Alex nak bagi pill tido utk diamkan mulutnya…. Kuang3x)

Tut tut tut…. We reached Sematan around 12 noon, had our lunch overlooking the beautiful blue beach, bought enough supply of mineral water for 5 days and off we go to our camp for real. It was a tagging feeling of turning back the bus and head back to Kuching; and also to go through this camp once and for all. But despite our constant urging for Pak Wan to ‘gostan’ (go astern), we reached our camp site at 2pm. Pulling our trolley bags, our pail, hanger and etc…, we registered ourselves with our camp facilitators – Pak Mus & the gang with their thick mustach and serious face. (in my mind *kenak semua kedak commander army jak?! Matila kali ni kena hentam* ) So carrying our given blanket and bedsheet, we head for our assigned lodging for this 5 days.

Our lodging is very interesting. We got to sleep in bunk bed (Yipee!) and share 3 fans among about 20 of us. But most importantly (and a first experience for me) is that they do not provide individual cubicle bathrooms only one big air kolah (hmm… a pool of water?). So we took bath together-gather la… and as usual, we are open to water fight; where in some instances ada yang terkantoi…. Hehehe. Sleeping on bunk bed was fun too, we get to jump from one bed to another and laugh and sleep together. Luckily bunk bednya dijamin kukuh, mun x, ada dah jadi daging sandwich pakai breakfast pagi2…. =)

situation inside girl's dome

hehe... some are pretty unsightly as we have limited time between sessions

exhibit A, dayung Oliv. This is how we sleep :)

on my side of the bed.... luckily x roboh.... phiew

before heading to bed.... which explains all the sleepy faces.

So these are some sneak peeks of the girls dome. More coming up on the activities and lectures of birotatanegara.

Prologue

First day activity – Taklimat kursus & makan. Most of the content of the taklimat are history of our nation which we have learnt in school and also during our KISSM so it was just a revision for us. I have to admit my attention span is rather limited. Therefore, I believe my friends and I have all perfected the skill of 'pretending to stay focus and attentive'. Some tips for trying to stay focus are as follows: (ada embak sekilo somboi, ada dengan gula2, macam2 gelagat) But something we can’t stay without during the entire course is our trusted insect repellent!...
