Ok, sad things aside, now to the topic of the day, ostrich…The Ostrich (Struthio camelus) is a large flightless bird native to Africa (and formerly the Middle East). It is the only living species of its family, Struthionidae, and its genus, Struthio. Ostriches share the order Struthioniformes with emus, kiwis, and other ratites. It is distinctive in its appearance, with a long neck and legs and the ability to run at speeds of about 65 km/h (40 mph), the top land speed of any bird. The Ostrich is the largest living species of bird and lays the largest egg of any bird species.(Wikipedia)
Ostrich are beautiful animals.. however, according to the same source, Ostrich are farm mainly due to their feathers…. So sad.. if I were to have a large compound one day, I would love to have a Ostrich as a pet…

However, when an ostrich is scared, it will bury its head in the ground, assuming that because it cannot see, it cannot be seen. Interesting way to avoid the problem. and super cute too...
People who have grown up watching Looney Tunes will surely remember the famous Road Runner… In Wile E. & Road Runner.. hahah.. love love love this cartoon…
So, coming back to the topic, one of my classmates decided to just that.. bury her head and all…. Just like an ostrich, assuming that if one can’t see, one can’t be seen… and guess where did she bury herself?... behind the white LCD screen….of all places....
Actually it's a pretty good hiding place to make calls... except that....She kind of forgot that she still has a pair of legs to hide... waist up, no prob.. only thing is.. waist down.... *sigh*
