Below is a conversation between me (teacher) and my student in one of my relief classes:
T : Ok class, today I am going to teach you idomatic expression.
S : (still talking, some move around from their seats)
T : OI! Better stick your butt to your chair right now or i'll stick your butt with superglue later (*angry*) (students look at me blackly) Settle down now! If you don't, I can send you to see your Afternoon Supervisor right now.
S : (everybody turns into a mouse and went back to their seats, peace finally set in)
T : Ok now class. (pointing to the blackboard) 'having green fingers.' - can you guess the meaning of having green fingers?
S : (all talking at once) Student 1 :Donno.
Student 2 : Paint the fingers green green la.
Student 3 : like Hulk la.
T : huh?
S : neh Teacher, Incredible Hulk.
T : -_-||| ( I nearly fainted on the spot!)
